I started getting into computer games at 14 years of age with my first ever computer which was an Intel Celeron 333Mhz computer. I was introduced to Half-Life in 1998 by one of my school mates and played at a local little net cafe (which had Half-Life) at a LaserForce venue in Brisbane and played it often as I could. Once I got my first ever computer, I bought Half-Life and installed it on my beloved PC. I then had an internet connection, got into an online community and started getting used to the workings of the internet community.

About four months after I started, Half-Life introduced a runoff game called Counter-Strike Beta 1.0. I downloaded the game and started off with a whole new community that kept growing and learning as a whole with this new game. I played and played, getting my very little known name out there in all aspects. Teams/Clans started being created, official war maps and official matches with rules started getting into place. Internet competitions were ever growing, with heaps of teams and more professionalism being introduced. Net cafes started installing Counter-Strike all over the world, LAN competitions were getting known and quickly getting the reputation of being the "pinnacle" of competition game play for Counter-Strike. Half-Life Counter-Strike kept updating their game with new Betas with versions coming out very few months/years. The game became the best multi-player/internet/professional game in the world. They sold more copies of the game and had more players on their servers than any other game in the history of the internet/LAN/e-sports.

More communities were being created, more competitions with huge prize money and sponsors where being put up for such a great game. People started to realise this craze and all of them caught on to it. Some people followed to play, some followed to just admire the players' skill level and enjoy watching matches.

Now coming into 2009, Counter-Strike has been split into two amazing games, Counter-Strike: Source (CS:S) and Counter Strike 1.6. While CS:S renders more realism and more graphic detail to the game, CS 1.6 is rated by most (including myself) as the premier tactical superior game play game to ever be created. Both games have attracted lots of players. Most have different opinions on both games, but nevertheless agree that Counter-Strike in itself is the best game regardless. Sponsors in the past five years have jumped on both these games, generating money in hosting competitions worldwide, investing money in travel, computers and players. It's become a huge spectator sport and attracts viewers to watch on the internet and also local game play than any game ever to be created..

I turned professional in 2002 and have played in over 100+ competitions to date, travelled overseas, interstate and locally countless times. Classed as if not one of the oldest and longest serving player in Australian gaming history, I have achieved what some gamers could only dream of.

I'm now 25 years old and almost surely coming close towards the end of my long career. I'm now at the stage of where I want to give something back to the community, gamers, players and people who'd love to be like what I once was/am. I'd like for Australian Gamers and Counter-Strike players to improve in their overall skill level and become professional. Australian gamers lack a lot of what most consider European Team/Players powerhouse have. We're about five years behind the rest of the world, purely because of our location, internet and professionalism towards the game. I'm just lucky I had the chance to play and live overseas and gain heaps of experience from all sorts of players and teams.
